​In the last weeks, the Iowa Legislature has been busy. They have been busy reducing assistance to the poor and those who need healthcare. They have been busy promoting even easier access to guns in school and other public places, even as the death toll rises all around us. They have been busy harassing and demeaning kids who wrestle with their gender. You may disagree with me. You can. I, however, am concerned about the anger of the Lord and the judgment we will experience as a result of our actions. Let me explain.

​For those of you who read through the bulletin every week, you will notice that there have been more than a few families who are grieving the loss of loved ones. As a congregation during the service, we also pray for the individuals who have died, and we pray for the families who grieve.
