Bibles and Children
A promise we make at baptism is to place in the hands of those baptized the holy scriptures. We take that promise seriously and keep it many times over as a part of Learning Ministry Milestones. Our practice has been to give Bibles to children upon entering preschool, third grade and sixth grade. We have added two more ages and stages to this and will now give a Bible at baptism and instead of preschool, kids will get a Bible at age 3 and again in kindergarten. All Bibles given are developmentally appropriate and will be used in the ministries that kids and families take part in here.
