Women's Study Groups
The purpose of these groups is to grow in faith and discipleship, serve others, and gather in Christian community.
Lydia Bible Study Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in members’ homes. The women use the study in Gather, a magazine published by the Women of the ELCA. Extra copies are always available. For more information, contact Roxanne Rathje at rathjem@msn.com or Asta Twedt at atwedt@aol.com. Esther Bible Study Group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in members’ homes. The women read and share various books, devotionals and Bible studies. All women are welcome to join on a regular or occasional basis. For more information, contact Carol Morrow cmorrow1907@gmail.com or Kathy Friest befriest@mchsi.com. 49 and Holding Group is a small group of women over 50 who meet monthly to discuss a chapter of a chosen book focusing on some aspect of Christianity. We just completed Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren and will select a new book to start in October. The group meets the third Tuesday of the month in the evening for one hour and have met virtually via Zoom & in person outside on the church property with proper social distancing. We usually read and discuss one or two chapters per month to keep it simple. |
