Step 2: What does it mean to be a part of the body of Christ?
The mission, beliefs and values of the community flow from our faith in the Triune God and are rooted in our daily living, watered through worship, and blossom in service and outreach to others.
In a culture that views the church causally as an “add on” to life, we the church view the faith community as the essential part of life. The community of faith keeps us grounded by giving us identity, and sharing God’s love.
Life is not easy, but the community gives support, love, and participates in the healing of each other through the scriptures and the work of the Holy Spirit. The faith community is a gift.
