What membership means

Step 2: What does it mean to be a part of the body of Christ?
The mission, beliefs and values of the community flow from our faith in the Triune God and are rooted in our daily living, watered through worship, and blossom in service and outreach to others.
In a culture that views the church causally as an “add on” to life, we the church view the faith community as the essential part of life. The community of faith keeps us grounded by giving us identity, and sharing God’s love.
Life is not easy, but the community gives support, love, and participates in the healing of each other through the scriptures and the work of the Holy Spirit. The faith community is a gift – it is countercultural. There is nothing like it. God calls each of us precious and honored. God loves you just as you are, and then takes you and shapes you in ways you can never imagine. Faith is an adventure. Don’t miss it!
How we live our faith is based on the promises taken at baptism and affirmation of baptism which include the following:
Scripture teaches that we are the Church. We come together to grow in faith and encourage one another so that we can share God’s love.
