The winning bidder gets to choose ONE of these six benches:
Bench #1 - Ash: At three inches, the top is thicker than all of the others and contains a partial live edge on both sides. There are very interesting grain patterns as you look across the two parallel boards, and there is more interest on the side. 12 ½ wide by 50 inches.
Bench #2 - Barn Wood: The barn wood still has much of the character as when it was salvaged from a barn that was being torn down, but sanded and cleaned to also provide a smooth finish. This is wide enough that it could be a table, or long enough to call it a bench. The unique leg design utilizes steel channel iron. 19 by 42 inches.
Bench #3 - Maple Flames: This piece of maple has some captivating characteristics. The combination of the coloring created by the spalting at one end, the contrast from the black epoxy used to fill some of the features, a little bit of natural edge reaching into the seat and grain pattern that resembles flames makes the top uniquely beautiful. 13 by 50 inches.
Bench #4 - Maple Fork: This one is guaranteed not to pinch your butt!! The fork in this slab has always been part of this tree and was retained when cut at the sawmill. The steelwork underneath is further assurance that your butt is safe! Besides the fork, there is some fascinating grain patterns in this piece. 13 by 42 inches.
Bench #5 - White Oak: This piece of wood was originally a diamond in the rough. The slab was almost discarded before it was cleaned up and what resulted is a unique board with many features that provide its character. If this is a bit long, the legs can be moved and the wood made shorter. Approximately 12 inches wide by 6 feet long. White Oak is known for its decay resistance, so this one would be the best one for being partially outside.
Bench #6 - Cherry Petite: This is the most petite of this group, but still stands out. The top has natural live edge on both sides. The legs were designed with a lighter look to complement but not overwhelm the simple beauty of the cherry top. Approximately 14 by 36 inches.
