Memorial Garden
About the Memorial Garden
Churches have provided a final resting place for the saints for a very long time. Cemeteries, crypts, columbaria, and gardens express the faith that even the blessed dead are still part of the community. Holy Trinity’s Memorial Garden features open space just outside the altar area of the sanctuary for the ashes of loved ones to be laid to rest. The garden includes a labyrinth for meditation and plantings to express the joy of God’s creation.
The Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Garden provides a sacred resting space for the ashes (cremains) of the saints and loved ones of the congregation. It is a place for prayer, meditation, remembrance of the communion of saints, and the celebration of the hope of resurrection.
